The 8th International Conference on Sodium Batteries Opens

September 22, 2023, Liyang, Jiangsu — The 8th International Conference on Sodium Batteries (ICNaB), organized by the Yangtze River Delta Physics Research Center, co-organized by the Institute of Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and specially sponsored by HiNa Battery Technology Co., Ltd., opened today.

Over 400 attendees, including renowned experts, scholars, enterprises, universities, and research institutions from more than a dozen countries—such as China, Australia, Germany, Denmark, Russia, France, South Korea, Canada, the United States, Japan, Sweden, Spain, Singapore, India, and the United Kingdom—gathered for the conference.

22.jpgResearcher Li Hong from the Institute of Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Yangtze River Delta Physics Research Center delivered a welcome speech for the conference. Professor Claude Delmas of the French National Academy of Sciences and Academician Chen Liquan of the Chinese Academy of Engineering extended their congratulations via video messages.

33.jpgProfessor Maria Forsyth, member of the International Sodium Battery Scientific Committee and academician of the Australian Academy of Sciences, presided over the first plenary report, officially marking the beginning of the 8th ICNaB!

The conference features presentations from 46 globally renowned experts and scholars, focusing on five key themes: sodium-ion batteries, cathode materials, anode materials, electrolyte materials, and advanced characterization and theoretical simulations. The discussions aim to explore cutting-edge technologies in the sodium battery field, promote industrial development, and foster broader and deeper international cooperation and innovation.

The organizing committee has received over 60 poster submissions from around the world. The poster exhibition area is located on the first floor of the venue, and the "Best Poster Award," specially sponsored by HiNa Battery, will be announced during the closing ceremony on September 24. Additionally, the HiNa Battery exhibition booth is situated on the first floor, where company professionals will be available throughout the conference to provide detailed product information.
