March 28, 2025, Fuyang, Anhui — The product launch event themed "Great Potential, Born for the Era — Breakthroughs in Commercial Vehicle Power Battery Technology and Value Reconstruction" was successfully held in Fuyang, Anhui, marking the official debut of a sodium-ion battery solution for commercial vehicles. This innovative achievement represents a dual breakthrough in both technology and industry within China's new energy sector, injecting an independently controllable core technological engine into the trillion-yuan commercial vehicle electrification market.

The event was hosted by HiNa Battery Technology Co., Ltd. and co-organized by Shanxi Huayang Group New Energy Co., Ltd. It attracted hundreds of guests, including relevant leaders from the Fuyang Municipal Party Committee and Government, industry experts, and enterprise representatives. Through live streaming, over 50,000 online viewers joined to witness the global premiere of HiNa Battery's Sodium-Ion Battery Commercial Vehicle Solution.

Academician Chen Liquan of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Chen Dong (Member of the Standing Committee of the Fuyang Municipal Party Committee and Executive Vice Mayor), and Hu Yongsheng, Chairman of HiNa Battery, delivered opening speeches. Subsequently, Liu Yujie, Secretary of the Fuyang Municipal Party Committee, HiNa Battery Chairman Hu Yongsheng, and customer representatives from Huayang Group, CRRC Times Electric, FAW Jiefang, Greendrive Group, Sany Heavy Truck, and JAC Motors participated in the launch ceremony. As the sodium-ion battery industrial map gradually illuminated on the large screen, the HiNa Battery product launch officially commenced.

During the event, Li Shujun, General Manager of HiNa Battery, systematically elaborated on innovative pathways to enhance battery economics. Through proprietary core technologies achieving multi-dimensional breakthroughs, the company grandly launched the HiNa Battery · Starfish Sodium-Ion Battery Commercial Vehicle Solution. This solution demonstrates multiple leading performance metrics of sodium-ion batteries. The cells used achieve an energy density exceeding 165 Wh/kg, can complete a 100% charge within 20–25 minutes, and maintain a cycle life of over 8,000 cycles even under fast-charging conditions. The state-of-charge estimation accuracy is within 2%. With a temperature rise of ≤10°C during pack fast-charging and stable discharge performance across a wide temperature range of -40°C to 45°C, the solution effectively reduces energy loss and significantly improves electricity utilization, providing reliable all-weather support for commercial vehicles.

To meet the differentiated needs of various scenarios, the HiNa Battery · Starfish solution offers four product models: Starfish K150Starfish K210Starfish K280, and Starfish K350. The first two are designed specifically for short-haul transportation, while the latter two are precisely tailored for the technical requirements of logistics and transportation.

Li Shujun stated that, compared to existing conventional commercial vehicle battery solutions, the HiNa Battery · Starfish solution achieves a substantial increase in total output while significantly reducing overall costs. By decreasing the required battery load and shortening charging times for commercial vehicles, it enhances economic viability, thereby realizing three core values: "Less Loading, Faster Charging, More Utility." This proposal not only provides a practical and feasible solution for the comprehensive electrification of commercial vehicles but also successfully establishes a "Sodium Battery Standard" in the global commercial vehicle electrification race.
